After a balanced start, Houston took 8 points 24-16 but San Antonio put in a 9-0 to pocket the first 25-24. Both teams are held in the second 38-39. The Spurs still remain before at break 54-51 winning this period 29-27.
The visitors quickly gained 9 points in the 3rd quarter 64-55, but the Rockets realized a super 17-4 series to go past 72-68. The Spurs react at the end of the period with a 13-4, which still offers them this quarter-time 27-25. At the start of the last, the Rockets are only 5 points 76-81. The Spurs are leading during the last minutes of the game and are ahead with 12 points 102-90. Gordon with 3 points and Ariza narrow the gap by 5 points 97-102 to 1’36, but the Spurs control the money-time 25-21. Final victory 106-97.
