Sacramento Kings

July 2013 – November 2013

Following the season and the departure of several key players from Luc’s time in Milwaukee, the Bucks decided to go in a different direction with the construction of the team and Luc was sent to the Sacramento Kings in a trade.

It seemed almost fitting that the NBA’s only true Prince would join Sacramento’s royally named franchise and Luc is looking forward to a fresh start for his sixth season in the league in the same state where he first made headlines as a collegiate sensation. Likewise, the Kings see Luc as a tremendous asset as new coach Michael Malone seeks to change the franchise’s identity and make Sacramento a competitor in the West.

« Luc is one of the premier defenders in the game today, with a proven ability to guard a variety of different scoring threats on a nightly basis, » Kings general manager Pete D’Alessandro said. “His versatility in this respect will go a long way in helping us improve dramatically on the defensive end of the floor. We’re excited to welcome Luc to the Kings family.”

Few weeks after he arrived to the Sacramento Kings team, Luc had to take another path that sent him to the Minnesota Timberwolves. He was trade for Derrick Williams.
