The Clippers lose at the Celtics after overtime

The game against the Celtics was a tough one as the Clippers with 57.7% against 59.8%, and ended with a victory of the premises after 139-134 overtime. Despite a slight lead from Celtics with 71-64 break, the Clippers came back in the 2nd half. Chris Paul and his 35 points, 5 rebounds and 13 assists, Isaiah Thomas and 36 points, 4 rebounds and 11 assists. J.J Redick finished with 27 points, DeAndre Jordan 21 points, 16 rebounds, 3 assists and Jamal Crawford 18 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists.

The game starts on a very large pace, both teams going blow for blow. The Clippers are slightly off and take the lead in the 1st quarter 33-37. In the 2nd quarter, Boston quickly comes back with 44-44, then takes the lead to 69-60 with 9 points. The Celtics were leading 71-64 at the break thanks to a strong second quarter time 38-27.

Highlight Celtics vs Clippers

On resumption, the two teams are on a 27-27 at the end of the third quarter, and Boston retains 7-point lead at the start of the last 98-91. The quarter during which the Clippers return with a tie 100-100 on a 9-2. LA took the lead 107-111 with Redick and 111-116 on a dunk by Jordan. But in the last minute, Thomas managed two attempts while Jordan missed two free throws. Boston pulls the extension to 6 seconds of 122-122 buzzer.

The Clippers begin with a 6-0 in over time (122-128), but Boston’s 132-132 back behind a 10-4. Redick, Pierce and Crawford trying the 3 points in the final moments, but all fail, while Turner and Jerebko on free throw break do to win 139-134.

Unfortunately it is a loss for the Clippers, the 18th over 35 wins, however they remain in the 4th place in the West Conf, and the Celtics 3rd in the East.
