The Rockets left the Mavs before 105-92, after their loss to the Raptors, which ended a series of 17 consecutive wins. Without James Harden (knee pain), Houston was able to count on Eric Gordon with 26 points, 4 rebounds, 2 assists and Chris Paul 24 points, 5 rebounds, 12 assists.
On a 3 points of Luc Mbah a Moute, the Rockets lead already 20-5 and easily pocket the first quarter 25-14. Dallas jostles Houston in the second quarter and takes the lead 38-37. The Mavs take a 6-point lead 46-40 and the second quarter 33-23, even if Houston passes in front just before the break and leads a small point 48-47.
The second period is one-sided and the Rockets dominate Dallas 32-16 in the 3rd quarter with a 3-point run, and 25-19 in the 4th quarter. Mavs finish with only 35.1% shooting success and 16.1% at 3 points. Houston remains first in the West with 52 wins and 14 losses.
